Adjacent to the nature reserve in Daxlanden between the Hermann-Schneider-Allee and the Saumseen is the site of the waterworld. My water world „The ramp“ is characterized as the name says by a ramp. This connects the public part of the waterworld over several floors. The ramp is not only part of the development, but forms on each step new views of the exhibition inside or outside into the nature. In addition, the elongated building connects the artificial (upper street) with the natural (Saumseen). The first floor is partially elevated to give Daxlanden a new space for fishing festivals or a weekly market that is also protected from the weather. As the building combines research, teaching and the public, the researchers can be watched working with the fish in Water Ponds on the first floor as well as on the sun terrace from the restaurant.
